Low-carb weight loss support club at Totley Library, Sheffield

We are so excited about launching our new in-person weight loss support club using our low-carb approach! We will be launching this programme in January 2022 at the Totley Library in Sheffield and it will be suitable for all adults (18 or over) who want to lose weight and/or improve their metabolic health. The programme is particularly suitable for people with obesity or overweight, pre-diabetes, type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure, fatty liver disease, Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS), or anyone who has experienced years of yo-yo dieting and is looking for a new approach to weight loss.

There are numerous health benefits to be gained from this scientifically validated approach to weight loss, including: having more energy, feeling less hungry, control of appetite, less bloating, lower blood pressure, better blood sugar control, better sense of well being, more confidence....the list goes on!

May be you've tried numerous diets before but can't keep the weight off. Low-carb living is a complete diet and lifestyle change, something you do for life - so it has to taste good (nutritious real food meals), be easy to do (no calorie or carb counting) and keep you satisfied (no hunger pangs or food cravings). With the support of two BANT Registered Nutritionists and your peers on the programme you can achieve your dream of weight control and improved health for life! 

How the club will work


Attend one of our FREE introductory talks in January where we will introduce you to the benefits of low-carb eating for weight loss and improvements in metabolic health and you can decide if this way of eating is for you.  This one hour talk will be held in the Totley library on the following dates:

Monday 10th January at 7pm and

Thursday 13th January at 1.30pm. 


If you have not tried low-carb  eating before we will ask you to do a short course (2 x 2 hour sessions) with us to learn about how low carb diets work for weight loss and understand the practicalities of how to transition to this way of eating. If you have tried low-carb eating before and understand how it works then you will not need to do this course. We will be offering this short course at regular intervals to new participants of the group.


You join the low-carb support group which will meet every other week (daytime) in Totley Library. Each session will have a short educational session on a nutrition or health topic related to low-carb eating and metabolic health. We will also do a weigh-in to monitor progress and have group discussions where you can feed back on your progress, ask questions, swap ideas/recipes and be generally supportive of each other

Tickets for these FREE talks will be available from Totley library from the beginning of December.
We are limited to 30 people per talk due to social distancing rules at Totley Library. 
This short course will be available on:

Session 1 - Thursday January 27th 1.30-3.30pm
Session 2 - Thursday February 3rd 1.30-3.30pm
