Recipe
Ingredients (4 servings):
- 500g celeriac, peeled and chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 50g unsalted butter
- 100ml double cream
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Chopped fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Method:
1. Peel the celeriac and chop it into small, evenly sized pieces.
2. In a pot of salted boiling water, cook the celeriac until tender, about 15-20 minutes.
3. While the celeriac is cooking, in a separate pan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant.
4. Once the celeriac is cooked, drain it and transfer it to a bowl.
5. Mash the celeriac with a potato masher or fork until you achieve your desired consistency.
6. Add the garlic-infused butter, cream, salt, and pepper to the mashed celeriac. Mix well to combine.
7. Adjust the seasoning to taste and garnish with chopped fresh parsley if desired.
